Pondering a long weekend

i am about to go off and watch an extremely chinese, gay and red-haired friend play jesus christ in a protestant church musical. west end, ikaw na ba itu? is the world ready for the sight of gideon in a little white towel dangling from a cross? more importantly, am I ready for that?

rain, rain, rain. f*ck. marlon and i were so looking forward to the beach this weekend. (yes he's here. again. it's a long divali/hari raya weekend in singapore.) we toyed with the idea of
bolinao, pangasinan, but the 6-hour bus ride was rather daunting. just when we were ready to "settle" for puerto galera, the weather turned awry and we had a bitch of a time figuring out what to do.

had a minor spat earlier this week about going to tagaytay, which at this point seems impractical given the rain and the cost of renting a car. (marlon says he must be the only poor OFW on the planet--did you know that the extremely chi-chi/insanely expensive
residences above greenbelt are being bought mostly by balikbayans???? gawrsh.)

of course there's always the usual makati blah blah. i enjoy the time i spend with marlon, but i have been hankering for something different for us to do. since it looks like we'll be stuck with the usual this weekend, i'm crossing my fingers that we can still find tickets to
cabaret tomorrow night. otherwise, we HAVE to find something to do to take advantage of this rare outdoorsy mood i'm in. maybe we can fly a kite in UP sunken garden. ANYTHING.

oh crap. it's raining again.
