and, i'm going for absolutely free! i booked the ticket using marlon's krisflyer miles. yay.
so far all i know about seoul is all i'm looking forward to: the palaces where they shoot koreanovelas, giganto-mall coex, and beautiful store, a little vintage shop read about on lonely planet where the prices are (if my calculations are correct) almost at pinoy ukay-ukay levels -- truly, thinspiration for the month of may. i hope i also get there in time to catch at least a few cherry blossoms.
any suggestions?

Shopping!!
ReplyDeleteMyeongdong - Street shops galore like HK Central district.
Dongdaemun - bargain shopping (pero mahal pa rin bec its Korea). Its like a huge 168.
I wouldn't bother with COEX if u have limited time. Sobrang Mall of Asia.
Dont forget to try the Soju and authentic Korean BBQ with almost 12 courses. For the life of me I cant remember the restuarant names but I can ask my handy Korean friends for a recommendation, you want?
Other than that I cant remember much else about Seoul except for Lotteworld...the biggest indoor amusement park in Asia!

ReplyDeleteChangsaedo Island :) Never been there, but saw it once in a Koreanovela, Spring Waltz (2006).
ReplyDeleteAlthough it's not in Seoul, but in the beautiful beautiful countryside, comparably like the island of El Nido, Palawan in its unspoiled appeal.
